Fall League Registration Opens on Friday and Last Chance for Outdoor Soccer
4 September 2019 @ 8:37 PM by Chris Surgeoner

Hello everyone,

Last chance for September and October Soccer

Summer is winding down, the kids are back at school and the last of our summer leagues kick off this week. If you are looking to play in September and October, register now before it is too late. Many of our leagues are already sold out and registration will close for most of the others in the next day or two. If you still want to play over the next couple of months, grab one of the last team or individual spaces before they are gone.

Don't forget we also offer volleyball, pickup soccer and our new kids soccer programs for ages 4 to 10!

Fall and Winter Soccer Indoor Soccer 2019/20 - Begins November 2019

Team registration for all Footy Sevens fall indoor leagues opens Friday, September 6th at noon, making tomorrow the last chance for our current captains to secure their space before the spots open to the general public. (Just click on the invite buttons on the Upcoming Leagues page to pre-register)

We currently have a record-breaking number of teams playing in our summer leagues. Although we have our usual great selection of fall and winter leagues available, our capacity is much smaller in fall and we only have enough space to accommodate just over 50% of the teams that are playing with us just now.

We've got the same great line-up of coed and men's leagues as last year. Most of our winter leagues begin in November and as always team and individual registration is available and team spaces can be secured with a $250 deposit.

Fall 2019 Soccer League Line-Up

New for 2019

We've secured a Sunday booking at the renovated Ottawa University Lees Dome and we'll be offering Sunday afternoon coed futsal, mixed volleyball in the evening and the lunchtime kids programs throughout the fall and winter.

Gloucester Domes - Mon, Wed, Sun

The Hornet's Nest and Louis Riel Dome have been league venues for as long as Footy Sevens has been in existence and we run indoor leagues year round at the domes out on Bearbrook Road. Our Monday, Wednesday and Sunday coed have been established for a number of years and will be back again this fall and winter. All of the leagues start in the first week of November and are likely to sell out well before their start date.

Ottawa University - Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun

For the past seven years, the Lees Dome at Ottawa University has sold out with over 100 teams playing at the downtown venue in the fall and winter seasons. The dome will be our main location for fall and winter 2018/19 and we'll be able to offer the same great line-up of leagues as last year. We are offering coed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Our men's league is also on Sundays. All of the Ottawa University leagues are scheduled to begin in late November.

Fieldhouse at Carleton University - Fri

We'll be at Carleton U on Fridays for our Fall men's league and the season begins in November and runs until March.

Ben Franklin Dome - Mon

Our Monday Men's league at Ben Franklin Dome begins in November with later kick-off times: ideal for those who are unable to make early kick-offs during the fall season.

Individual Registration - Soccer

Individual registration for our fall soccer leagues opens on Monday at noon, a couple of days after the team registration.

For registration and information on all leagues go to the Ottawa Footy Sevens Website or drop us an e-mail.

Volleyball and Floor Hockey

Don't forget we've also got 5 nights of mixed volleyball available from Sunday to Thursday a various venues around the city. Our Wednesday league at Redeemer CHS has a single team space still available and the Thursday league at Carleton is already sold out. We still have a few of spaces available at our mixed 4s and 6s leagues at St. Patrick's High School and for our Sunday evening league at the Ottawa U Lees Dome.

Registration for all volleyball leagues can be found on the Ottawa Volley Sixes website.

Footy For All Kids Soccer

This summer saw the lunch of our first ever kids soccer programs and we had rave reviews from parents. We'll be continuing to offer kids through fall and winter at Immaculata HS and Ottawa U. You can find full details of all of our programs on our Footy For All website.

Footy Sevens Blood Drive

And don’t forget our upcoming Blood Drive with Blood Services Canada. Please consider joining the Footy Sevens staff and officials to donate blood. It literally costs nothing but will save lives. The blood drive is on September 25th and 26th and full details will be available soon.

See you all on the field,

The Footy Sevens Team
